Mr. Victor P. Quisumbing as Chief Distribution Officer and the new Head of PPLIC’s Sales and Marketing Group.  Mr. Quisumbing brings to the Company over 30 years of experience as a career professional in the Life Insurance Industry, beginning with a distinguished and impressive Agency Sales career at Manulife Financial to eventually rise to President and CEO of All AsiaLife, Philipppine AXA Life and, most recently, Grepalife.  At PPLIC, he will be tasked to drive further growth and expansion of the Company’s existing Distribution Channels, while developing new ones and also introducing innovations to help ensure PPLIC’s sustainable viability in the years to come.

Mr. Amando A. Mercado as Chief Operating Officer. Following his various achievements as the former Head of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Mercado will now take on new and distinct challenges to streamline, optimize, enhance and drive all of PPLIC’s Operations units, helping ensure that all of its “back-office” departments work at peak efficiency in delivering timely, relevant and value-added support, not only to PPLIC’s Distribution Channels, but most especially to the Company’s valued clients through its Customer Service group.

Additionally, in the Fourth Quarter of 2011, PPLIC appointed Ms. Arabelle Adigue as Vice President for Marketing, bringing to PPLIC her rich experience in Marketing Management, including Product Management, from her stints at AXA, Grepalife and Philamlife.

Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. (PPLIC), the Official Life Insurer of the Miss World Philippines 2011 Pageant, named Ms. Jayanne Marie Tan Aldanese as “MS. PHILIPPINE PRUDENTIAL LIFE” during the Gala Night and Charity Dinner of the pageant.  Philippine Prudential Life covered each candidate with life insurance worth Php2,000,000.00 for one year, while Ms. Philippine Prudential Life is a Special Award given to a candidate who manifests the core values that Philippine Prudential Life upholds. “Our Company chose Ms. Aldanese, because apart from being smart and beautiful, she is really very down-to-earth,” said Mr. Daniel D. Mercado III, Senior Vice President and Head of the Philippine Prudential Life Selection Committee.  As Ms. Philippine Prudential Life, Ms. Aldanese was awarded a special cash prize of Php50,000.00.

In its bid to support Miss World Philippines Organization’s motto “Beauty in Giving,” PPLIC and CQ Global Quest Inc. (CQGQI), led by Ms. Cory Quirino, recently signed their Memorandum of Agreement to insure the 25 candidates of the 2011 Miss World Philippines Pageant.  PPLIC President and CEO Gregorio Mercado stated, “This very special project is not just about providing life insurance to the 25 candidates, but more of being one with the cause of the Miss World Philippines Organization, as it supports various charities, bringing help and hope to those in need.” Ms. Cory Quirino on her part noted the importance of Life Insurance as it provides added protection for the 25 Candidates in the face of possible risks in their daily activities and duties throughout the pageant.

Mr. Michael Caparros, the newly inducted President of the La Salle Green hills Alumni Association (LSGHAA), acknowledged Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. as one of the partners of LSGHAA in his inauguration speech during the La Salle Green Hills Alumni Association Formal Induction at the Main Lobby of La Salle Green Hills, in Mandaluyong City on September 2, 2011.

This is in line with the Company’s continued growth and expansion plans, while remaining consistent with its ongoing thrust to help Filipinos everywhere secure their future through its accessible distribution channels. No less than Cabanatuan Mayor Julius Cesar V. Vergara and Vice Mayor Marius A. Garcia joined PPLIC Senior Executives in formally opening the new PPLIC sales office.

As part of the celebration, a caravan also took place where PPLIC Executives and Sales Professionals were warmly welcomed by the people of Cabanatuan City.

Celebrating its Founder’s Day, Philippine Prudential Insurance Company invited all the policy owners to join the PPL  got TALENT event last August 28, 2011. Though there were minor problems the day before the contest, I’m still inspired because of the support given by our Branch Head and his team. Everyone gave their share especially my CS family who reported early to ensure that everything’s ready, from the cashiers who helped us in the letter cutting, to our maintenance people who decorated our stage and most especially to our policy owners and their relatives who made an effort to excel in their performance.
