Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc., (Philippine Prudential) the industry leader in innovation and growth in the life insurance industry in the country, recently held its 2012 Sales Leadership Convention in Boracay, with almost 80 Company Executives and Top Sales Performers in attendance.

Philippine Prudential President and CEO Gregorio D. Mercado said, “While this was the third straight year that the convention was held in Boracay, it was the first time that we held the Annual Sales Awards Night there. We saw it fit to honor our top sales performers in this island paradise, as they relax and bond with their colleagues after all the hard work in generating over Php 1.009 Billion in Total Premium Income in 2011. More than just giving recognition, it is important that we also give our champions a rewarding experience that they truly deserve.”

The highlight of the four-day event was an intensive teambuilding activity called “Man vs. Wild: Mad About Winning,” organized by the Company’s People Management and Development (PMD) Team. All participants played “Survivor-”type roles as they underwent various physical and mental challenges that strengthened their teamwork, strategic planning skills and levels of persistence. They were divided into three teams: Wild Boars, Scorpion Kings and Black Widow. The Wild Boars, led by Philippine Prudential Assistant Vice President Daniel E. Mercado IV, won the competition.
